There are many car problems that can be solved with a little elbow oil and a little ingenuity. Some places charge hundreds of dollars to fix relatively simple problems and people pay too much money to fix small, simple problems. Here are some hacking cars that you can use to save money and make your car experience more enjoyable.
1. Use toothpaste to clean the headlights
This one is very easy but requires a little arm strength. Use toothpaste and rub it all over the plastic lid over your headlights. Let stand briefly then rinse with clean water and dry. This will remove the misty layer that covers them. If you want to keep it that way, try using furniture polish or car wax to keep it clean.
2. Use shoes to place the glass
Almost all cars come with cup holders but not all cup holders are good. Sometimes you need something a little safer to hold 32oz drinks than a thin piece of plastic or a glass cup that is not deep enough to hold it properly. The answer is shoes! Use a tennis show to enter your drink. Because openings can be adjusted, suitable for almost every cup. If you take a mesh net you can stick it to the ceiling handle on your car. You can then use this space to store everything from clothing accessories to children's coloring books. These items do not need to be on the floor of your car and the nets are very cheap.
6. Increase the range of your remote alarm by holding it on your chin
Yes, this really works. The science behind it is actually quite simple. Your head is filled with liquid and the liquid produces a good conductor. So, when you put your fob key on your skull, you turn your head into an antenna that can expand the range of your alarm. It won't go too far and you won't get more than 20 feet out of range but it really works.
7. Use a laundry basket to organize your belongings
Your car's luggage may be messy. I know mine. If you take a laundry basket, you have a place to put all your things so they don't fly everywhere. You can take one of these in a dollar store for a few dollars and you don't have to worry about loose things and rolling around in your luggage!
8. Create a back seat organizer with a shoe organizer
This one is well known car hack but it's still amazingly effective. If you take a shoe regulator and a few shoe ties, you can tighten the shoe regulator to the back of your front seat. You can then place items such as maps, coloring equipment for children, and even items such as gloves.
9. Create your own car air freshener
Refresh your car with scented candle wax. Make a hole in the lid of the jar using a hammer and big nail for DIY car air freshener. Add the wax to the jar and replace the lid. When the temperature in your car rises, the candle will melt, fill your car with a beautiful aroma
10. Buy Plug-In Seat Warmers
Just because your car isn't fancy enough to have a built-in seat warmer (along with not having heat!), Doesn't mean you can't have a warm seat. Buy an after-market seat cover to help melt and warm you and your car while you drive
